Googe Android 4.0 "Ice Cream" System Requirements

I do not have any information on the system requirements for the next version of Google's Android 4.0 OS, code named Ice Cream Sandwich. This operating system will unify Android 2.x designed for smartphone with Android 3.x designed for tablets.

However, I was pretty certain that Ice Cream Sandwich would require a dual core processor. Phone Arena reported a very interesting piece of information:

All of the current generation of Sony Ericsson Xperia models including the Xperia arc and the Xperia ray will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), a London-based representative of the Swedish-Japanese JV confirmed for SoMobile.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc has very modest hardware by today's standards, a single core 1GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 graphics and 512MB of RAM. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray has nearly identical specifications. 

If the Arc and Ray can be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich, than so can a whole bunch of phones released back in 2010. I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
